An eco-epidemiological model with fear effect and hunting cooperation

Junli Liu et al.

Summary: The proposed eco-epidemiological model in this paper considers the fear effect and hunting cooperation among predators on prey population and disease transmission. Mathematical analysis reveals the existence of backward bifurcation and bistability in the model, while numerical simulations demonstrate that low levels of fear and cooperation can stabilize the system but high levels may induce limit cycles.

Dynamics of a stage-structured predator-prey model: cost and benefit of fear-induced group defense

Pijush Panday et al.

Summary: In a predator-prey system, different life stages of prey adopt varying anti-predator strategies, which may have both costs and benefits. Introducing anti-predator sensitivity helps balance these trade-offs and can have significant effects on population dynamics, predator density, and extinction risks.
