The new tailored nanoporous carbons from the common polypody (Polypodium vulgare): The role of textural properties for enhanced CO2 adsorption

Jaroslaw Serafin et al.

Summary: This study presented a one-step synthesis of new tailored nanoporous carbons from common polypody as feedstock, with significant results in CO2 capture performance, high selectivity, and isosteric heat of adsorption. The NCs showed tailored textural properties for CO2 capture and superior CO2 adsorption performance at different temperatures.

Preparation of low-cost activated carbons from amazonian nutshells for CO2 storage

Jaroslaw Serafin et al.

Summary: Low-cost carbonaceous adsorbents with microporous structures and moderate specific surface area were prepared from different amazonian nutshells for CO2 storage. The micropore structure of the activated carbons significantly impacts CO2 adsorption capacity, with mesoporosity contributing to higher capture at high pressure.
