Validation of protein arginine methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5) as a candidate therapeutic target in the spontaneous canine model of non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Shelby L. Sloan et al.

Summary: The study characterized the expression pattern of PRMT5 in canine lymphoma and found that inhibition of PRMT5 can lead to growth suppression and induction of apoptosis. Analysis of changes in chromatin accessibility and whole-transcriptome changes in canine lymphoma cell lines upon PRMT5 inhibition was performed. This research validates PRMT5 as a promising therapeutic target for treating canine lymphoma.
