Speciated atmospheric mercury during haze and non-haze periods in winter at an urban site in Beijing, China: Pollution characteristics, sources, and causes analyses

Chunjie Wang et al.

Summary: During February to March 2018, speciated atmospheric mercury levels in Beijing, China showed significant variations, with GEM and PBM2.5 concentrations notably higher during haze periods, possibly due to the accumulation of pollutants caused by strong subsidence of air masses. There was no significant difference in GOM concentrations between haze and non-haze periods.
