Characterization of acoustic streaming in water and aluminum melt during ultrasonic irradiation

Takuya Yamamoto et al.

Summary: The study measured the velocity of acoustic streaming in water and molten aluminum, conducting various types of experiments. Based on the measurement results, the Strouhal number for acoustic streaming was determined and the velocity was measured. The velocity of acoustic streaming was found to be independent of amplitude of sonotrode tip oscillation in both water and aluminum melt.
