Graphene Hybridized with Tungsten disulfide (WS2) Based Heterojunctions Photoanode Materials for High Performance Dye Sensitized Solar Cell Device (DSSCs) Applications

D. Krishnamoorthy et al.

Summary: In this study, high order crystalline tungsten disulfide (WS2) nanoparticles/graphene sheets (WS2/Gs) were prepared via hydrothermal technique. The incorporation of WS2 into graphene enhanced absorption properties and electron transfer rate, leading to an efficient dye-sensitized solar cell with a power conversion efficiency of 9.6%.

Influence of graphene nanoplatelets on mechanical properties and adhesive wear performance of epoxy-based composites

K. Y. Eayal Awwad et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of adding graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) to epoxy resin on its mechanical and adhesive wear performance. Results show that the addition of GNPs can improve the stiffness and hardness of the epoxy, but reduce its fracture strength and toughness. Adding GNPs is highly efficient in improving the wear performance of epoxy.

Effects of Cu and WS2 addition on microstructural evolution and tribological properties of self-lubricating anti-wear coatings prepared by laser cladding

Jianhui Yuan et al.

Summary: High manganese steel components coated with NiCr/TiC or NiCr/TiC-Cu-WS2 using laser cladding technology exhibit improved hardness and wear resistance. The addition of Cu reduces wear loss, while the synergistic lubrication of Cu, CrS, and WS2 significantly enhances wear resistance. Overall, laser clad self-lubricating anti-wear coatings show promising tribological performance.
