Decoding human variants of uncertain significance (VUSs) through feline genomic medicine is possible. Telomere-to-telomere genome assemblies in all felid species support genetic evolution and speciation studies. The highly conserved genomic organization in cats compared to humans suggests they may also decipher intergenic variations affecting 3D chromosome structures influencing gene regulation.
