This passage discusses whether genome-edited agricultural products should be considered genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and how to prove definitively that a genome-edited organism does not contain exogenous DNA, taking social aspects into account.

However, whether such proof is definitive is often disputed. We discuss the approaches to substantially proving that a genomeedited organism is not GMO, while considering social aspects.
