'Menthol-Plus': a major category of cigarette found among 'concept' descriptor cigarettes from Mexico

Some existing variants have been revamped with Japanese marketing themes to convey a more premium product image. After plain packaging, tobacco companies have utilized longer packs and variations in stick length, filter length, and foil texture to further differentiate products.

Trends in cigarette brand preference among Mexican smokers: the rise of Pall Mall

Global review of tobacco product flavour policies

Summary: Flavoured tobacco products are prohibited or restricted in 11 countries and the EU, with a focus on dissuading youth from tobacco use. Policies cover products made of tobacco leaf and consistently prohibit flavours associated with fruits, vanilla and spices. Further research is needed to examine the implementation and impacts of these policies to assist other countries interested in similar actions.

All major tobacco companies produced flavored cigarettes, highlighting the need for comprehensive laws addressing flavored tobacco products.
