Effect of Specimen Thickness and Stress Intensity Factor Range on Plasticity-Induced Fatigue Crack Closure in A7075-T6 Alloy

Kenichi Masuda et al.

Summary: Fatigue crack growth behavior of A7075-T6 alloy was studied experimentally and using the finite element method. Results showed that within a certain stress intensity range, the fatigue crack growth rate increases with increasing specimen thickness.
