Phytochemicals as steel corrosion inhibitor: an insight into mechanism

Summary: The study evaluated the inhibitory performance of imidazo[4,5-b] pyridine derivatives against mild steel corrosion in 1 M HCl, achieving a high inhibition performance of 90% for SB14a and 88% for SB9a at 0.1 mM. Experimental results were supported by Density functional theory (DFT) and molecular dynamic simulation (MD).
