A classification of countries and regions by degree of the spread of coronavirus based on statistical criteria

Antoni Wilinski et al.

Summary: "This article presents models of the spread of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in individual countries and globally based on statistical characteristics. It categorizes the epidemic spread in countries based on the relative variability of confirmed cases, predicting four phases of epidemic spread: growth, duration, suppression, and re-outbreak. The authors have developed Matlab software for simulating the spread of coronavirus in any country using data from CSSE."

Predictors of anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland

Marta Malesza et al.

Summary: This research in Poland examined the factors contributing to COVID-19-related anxiety, finding that females, older individuals, those who are married or cohabiting, and parents were more prone to anxiety. Additionally, individuals with chronic illnesses and poorer health reported higher anxiety levels. Furthermore, following recommended precautions more frequently, having a greater perception of infection risk, receiving more information from various sources about COVID-19, and lacking belief in the impact of own behaviors on COVID-19 infection predicted greater anxiety.
