Characterization of resistant starch nanoparticles prepared via debranching and nanoprecipitation

Xiaoxia Yan et al.

Summary: The Cyperus esculentus starch was treated with pullulanase debranching and nanoprecipitation to prepare resistant starch nanoparticles, resulting in smaller size nanoparticles with higher efficiency. The amount of ethanol used in the process was found to be correlated with the particle size of the nanoparticles.

Synthesis and characterization of nano starch-based composite films from kidney bean (Phaseolus vulgaris)

Ishita Sharma et al.

Summary: This study aimed to synthesize and evaluate nano starch-based composite films by adding nano starch in film formulation at different concentrations. The results showed that the addition of nano starch led to significant improvements in the thickness, solubility, and burst strength of the composite films, while decreasing the moisture content and water vapor transmission rate.
