Head impact exposures in women's collegiate rugby

Taylor L. Langevin et al.

Summary: The study aimed to describe the incidence, magnitude, and distribution of head impacts in a collegiate women's rugby season, and track the concussions sustained. Data collected through Smart Impact Monitors in practices and games showed that the frequency and intensity of head impacts in the season were lower than expected, with only four reported concussions. These findings provide insight into the impact burden endured by female collegiate rugby athletes throughout a competitive season.

Eight-season epidemiological study of match injuries in women's international rugby sevens

Colin W. Fuller et al.

Summary: This study aimed to describe and compare the anthropometry and incidence, nature, and causes of match injuries in women's international rugby sevens with previous results for men.
