The study provides an overview of pure and doped LaPO4 nanoparticles, highlighting the preference for phosphor particles with larger crystallite size and spherical agglomerated morphology for emitting the highest PL intensity.
The various synthesis methods of LaPO4 nanoparticles were an active area in many fluorescent applications. Several methods have been introduced for the synthesis of rare earth metals doped LaPO4 nanoparticles. In general, phosphor particles with a relatively large crystallite size with a spherical and agglomerated morphology are favoured for emitting the highest PL intensity. This study is an attempt to present an overview of pure and doped LaPO4 nanoparticles.
