Paper-based electrochemical sensors with reduced graphene nanoribbons for simultaneous detection of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim in water samples

Thiago S. Martins et al.

Summary: A paper-based fully printed electrochemical sensor with reduced graphene nanoribbons was developed for real-time monitoring of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and trimethoprim (TMP) antibiotics in water samples. The sensor showed a linear response from 1 to 10 mu mol l-1 for both antibiotics and had detection limits of 0.09 mu mol l-1 for SMX and 0.04 mu mol l-1 for TMP, demonstrating its potential for monitoring water supply systems.

Biocatalysis-induced formation of BiOBr/Bi2S3 semiconductor heterostructures: A highly efficient strategy for establishing sensitive photoelectrochemical sensing system for organophosphorus pesticide detection

Jingjing Li et al.

Summary: This work presents a highly sensitive photoelectrochemical sensing platform for malathion detection, utilizing a biocatalysis-induced formation of BiOBr/Bi2S3 semiconductor heterostructures. The platform offers a wide linear range and a low detection limit, with the presence of malathion indicated by a strong photocurrent signal.
