Reuse of treated water in European agriculture: Potential to address water scarcity under climate change

Jordan Hristov et al.

Summary: The study suggests that the reuse of treated water is a potential alternative water source for addressing water scarcity in Europe, despite limited effectiveness due to high costs and climate change impacts. To maximize the potential of reused water in addressing water stress, different pricing rates should be applied to ensure higher volumes at lower costs.
