Magnetic texture based magnonics

Haiming Yu et al.

Summary: This article introduces the theoretical framework of magnons living on a magnetic texture background and the latest experimental progress in manipulating magnons through magnetic textures. The flexibility and reconfigurability of magnetic textures are discussed, as well as their potential applications in information processing schemes based on magnons.

Strong magnon-magnon coupling in synthetic antiferromagnets

Changting Dai et al.

Summary: A synthetic antiferromagnet composed of two ferromagnetic layers separated by a non-magnetic layer exhibits strong coupling between acoustic and optic magnon modes, which can be controlled by breaking the system symmetry. The coupling strength can be adjusted by tuning various parameters, potentially reaching the ultrastrong coupling regime and offering a new platform for investigating quantum phenomena.

Effect of dipolar interaction on exceptional points in synthetic layered magnets

T. Jeffrey et al.

Summary: Exceptional points, where optical and acoustic magnons merge into a single branch, can be used to manipulate magnon energy spectra in synthetic ferromagnets and antiferromagnets. The study shows that when calculating exceptional points in layered magnetic materials, interactions other than interlayer exchange must be considered, highlighting the importance of micromagnetic simulations in accurately predicting the existence of exceptional points.
