On adaptive progressive hybrid censored Burr type III distribution: application to the nano droplet dispersion data

Hanieh Panahi et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the maximum likelihood and Bayes estimators for the two shape parameters of the Burr Type III distribution based on adaptive Type II progressive hybrid censored data. The maximum likelihood estimators are provided along with the demonstration of their existence and uniqueness using graphical methods. Bayes estimates are obtained under two loss functions using Lindley's method and Metropolis-Hastings sampling procedure, with construction of approximate and Bayesian intervals. Monte Carlo simulation is used to check accuracy and compare performance of proposed confidence intervals, with analysis of nano droplet data to illustrate application and development of inference methods.

Bayesian survival analysis for adaptive Type-II progressive hybrid censored Hjorth data

Ahmed Elshahhat et al.

Summary: The article discusses the estimation of parameters of the Hjorth distribution under adaptive Type-II progressive hybrid censoring scheme using maximum likelihood and Bayesian approaches, constructing confidence intervals and comparing the performance of different estimators. The Bayes estimators are obtained using independent gamma priors with Lindley's approximation and Markov chain Monte Carlo methods utilized to obtain credible intervals. A Monte Carlo simulation study is conducted to analyze the behavior of the estimators on an industrial devices dataset.
