Weather constraints on global drone flyability

Mozhou Gao et al.

Summary: Small aerial drones are increasingly used in commercial applications, but their reliability is impacted by weather conditions. Global flyability of drones is highest in warm and dry continental regions and lowest over oceans and at high latitudes. Improvements in weather resistance can increase the flyability of drones.
