Resilience analysis of maritime transportation systems based on importance measures

Hongyan Dui et al.

Summary: This paper examines the residual resilience management of ports and routes in the maritime transportation system (MTS) and prioritizes their restoration to enhance the system's ability to handle disruptions and minimize losses. A new method is proposed to optimize resilience management in MTS, with a focus on ports and routes. The applicability of the proposed method is demonstrated using sea routes involving 23 cities.

Reliability evaluation of consecutive-k-out-of-n: F systems with two performance sharing groups

Congshan Wu et al.

Summary: The study investigates the consecutive-k-out-of-n: F system with two performance sharing groups to analyze system structure and reliability. The system consists of n units and two common buses, with surplus performance transmitted within the same sharing group to satisfy random demand. System failure occurs due to at least k consecutive shut-down units.

Reliability analysis and optimization of multi-state sliding window system with sequential demands and time constraints

Wei Wang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a new MSWS-SD&TC system model for handling sequential demands and time constraints. The optimal performance assignment scheme in each ME group is determined through dynamic programming, and system reliability is evaluated using a technique of universal generating function. In addition, the optimal sequencing problem for MEs is investigated and solved with a genetic algorithm.
