Environmentally friendly superabsorbent fibers based on electrospun cellulose nanofibers extracted from wheat straw

Seyed Rahman Djafari Petroudy et al.

Summary: Superabsorbent fibers (SAFs) based on electrospun cellulose nanofibers (ECNFs) were prepared as a renewable alternative to petroleum-based materials, showing high swelling ratios and strength. The ESAFs formed high strength three-dimensional architecture networks and demonstrated low ionic sensitivity.
