In this study, four new polysulfonates with cyano substitution in the branched chain were successfully synthesized through a one-pot reaction. The synthesized polysulfonates exhibited excellent thermal stability and high glass transition temperature. This convenient synthesis method provides a new pathway for the synthesis of polysulfonates.
As a kind of excellent engineering polymer material, polysulfonate has attracted intense attention in recent years. In this work, four new polysulfonates with cyano substitution in the branched chain were one-pot synthesized through the SuFEx reaction of the sulfonyl fluoride monomer (MF) with four silyl ether monomers (MSi1-4) based on the cyanosilylation reaction of aldehydes. The novel synthesized polysulfonate exhibited excellent thermal stability and high glass transition temperature. The cascade reaction in a one-pot environment makes the whole synthesis process very convenient, and provides a new pathway for the synthesis of polysulfonate.
