Effectiveness of warning graphic labels on cigarette packs in enhancing late-teenagers' perceived fear of smoking-related harms in Bangkok, Thailand

Summary: This study found that warning graphic images showing patients suffering from cancers or damaged body parts were perceived as the scariest warning images. Non-smoking participants were more sensitive to these scary images than smoking participants. Individual cognitive judgment significantly influenced the level of fear of smoking-related harms.

Knowledge and Beliefs of Jordanian Community Toward E-cigarettes: A National Survey

Summary: A survey of 1820 adults in Jordan revealed a prevalence of 11.7% current e-cigarette smokers and 4.0% dual smokers. The most common reasons for starting vaping were to quit conventional smoking and enjoy the flavor. Most participants believed vaping was not harmful to children and pregnant women, and could aid in smoking cessation.
