Summary: Atmospheric stability significantly influences the spreading of wind-turbine wakes. Under convective conditions, atmospheric stability enhances spanwise turbulence intensity, leading to faster recovery of turbine wakes; while under stable conditions, reduced wake meandering results in slower turbulence transport, causing a slower recovery of wind-turbine wakes.
