RSV hospitalizations declined in 2020 due to the pandemic, but it has now returned with the end of the Southern Hemisphere 2021 winter. The impact of pandemic mitigation measures on respiratory virus circulation is difficult to determine, but acute respiratory infections in children are returning to their normal epidemiology.
