Summary: This study evaluated the prognostic value of desmoplastic reaction (DR) categorisation in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients. The results showed that immature DR was an independent poor prognostic factor in OSCC patients, while the mature DR group had the best survival rates.
