A general and efficient protocol for synthesizing organophosphine compounds from phenols and bond formation process is described in this study. The approach has broad substrate scope and excellent functional group tolerance, and its synthetic utilities were demonstrated by the synthesis of chiral ligands through various transformations of cyano groups for applications in asymmetric catalysis.
