Geology, geochronology and geochemistry of large Duobaoshan Cu-Mo-Au orefield in NE China: Magma genesis and regional tectonic implications

Wen-yan Cai et al.

Summary: Duobaoshan is the largest porphyry-related Cu-Mo-Au orefield in northeastern Asia, with a unique metallogenic history spanning over 300 million years and exhibiting significant geological complexity. Through geochronological and geochemical studies, the ore-forming magmatic activity in the orefield has been characterized by seven major phases, with some deposits showing evidence of multiple mineralization events. The geochemical signatures of the granitoids in the orefield suggest a crustal source and varying depths of formation, providing insights into the tectonometallogenic evolution of the area.
