Spectral shaping is an effective solution for generating high-energy, short pulses in fiber chirped-pulse amplification systems. A spectral notch filter design based on genetic algorithm and parallel computing has been demonstrated, achieving over 97% overlap between amplified and seed spectra. This approach allows for compensation of spectral narrowing and shifting simultaneously.
Spectral shaping is a promising solution for generation of high-energy, short pulse in fiber chirped-pulse amplification (CPA) system. We demonstrated a design of spectral notch filter based on genetic algorithm (GA) with parallel computing and verified through dynamic rate equations. This scheme can simultaneously realize compensation for spectral narrowing and shifting. The overlap between the amplified spectra after pre-shaping and the seed spectrum at different gains are all greater than 97%.
