Evaluation of liquid CO2 phase change fracturing effect on coal using fractal theory

Binwei Xia et al.

Summary: LCPCF technology has the potential to enhance coalbed methane drainage by enlarging pore diameter and increasing total pore volumes of treated coal samples, leading to a more regular and homogeneous pore structure. Gas content and gas emission index show a negative relationship with fractal dimension, while coal permeability demonstrates an exponential increasing trend with the decline of fractal dimension. Fractal theory bridges the gap between pore structure and methane flow, and is expected to be widely used for evaluating fracturing effect in coal seams.

Inclusiveness of consumer access to food safety: Evidence from certified rice in Vietnam

Nguyen H. D. My et al.

Summary: The introduction of food safety certification in Vietnam has raised concerns about inclusivity, as lower-income consumers are less likely to purchase certified rice. This poses a challenge for Vietnam in ensuring food safety for staple crops like rice. The ultimate goal is to propose policy guidelines to enhance inclusiveness of food safety as a fundamental consumer right.
