Carbazole isomers induce ultralong organic phosphorescence

Chengjian Chen et al.

Summary: Commercial carbazole is commonly used to synthesize organic functional materials. An isomer of carbazole found in commercially produced batches is responsible for the ultralong phosphorescence observed in these compounds and their derivatives.

Schiff base complexes with different metals incorporating derivatives of 3,6-di-tert-butylcarbazole

Matvey S. Gruzdev et al.

Summary: Four new mononuclear complexes were synthesized using asymmetric azomethine ligand with Fe (III), Ga (III), Cu (II), and Co (II) ions as central metal ions. The X-ray powder analysis revealed triclinic crystal cells with high stability above 200 degrees C. UV-Vis and fluorescence spectral data showed unique characteristics of the complexes in various solvents.
