Summary: This study found that the prevalence of compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress in newly graduated nurses were 80.2%, 38.2%, and 57.5% respectively. Transition shock was a significant negative predictor for compassion satisfaction, while empathy, resilience, and adaptive coping were significant positive predictors. Transition shock and passive coping were significant positive predictors for burnout and secondary traumatic stress, while empathy was a significant negative predictor. Resilience and adaptive coping contributed significantly and negatively to burnout.
