Synergistic breast cancer suppression efficacy of doxorubicin by combination with glycyrrhetinic acid as an angiogenesis inhibitor

Summary: The study optimized the drug ratio of glycyrrhetinic acid (GA) and doxorubicin (Dox) to enhance the anti-cancer effect against MCF-7 breast cancer cells, showing significant improvements in cytotoxicity, apoptosis, and mitochondrial membrane potential loss. In a mouse breast tumor model, the combination of Dox with GA demonstrated enhanced anti-tumor efficacy and reduced cardiotoxicity from Dox.
