Intravital imaging strategy FlyVAB reveals the dependence of Drosophila enteroblast differentiation on the local physiology

Ruizhi Tang et al.

Summary: By developing a 3D-printed platform FlyVAB, Tang et. al. enable intravital imaging and visualization of the Drosophila posterior midgut at a single-cell level, allowing for tracking of stem cell lineage in the midgut of flies continuously for up to 10 days. The results reveal a close correlation between the status of EB cells and the division rate and differentiation of ISC cells.
