Summary: This study provides a detailed analysis of 138 different types of SEZ cells in adult Drosophila, finding that they cluster into six supergroups based on morphology. Most local SEZ interneurons exhibit rich local processing, while SEZ projection neurons tend to be classically polarized, conveying information to a limited number of higher brain regions.
