Radiative Decay Rate Enhancement and Quenching for Multiple Emitters near a Metal Nanoparticle Surface

Yadong Zhou et al.

Summary: This study discovered that the enhancement or quenching of the radiative decay rate (RDR) for two or more emitters near a metal nanoparticle surface is drastically different from that of a single emitter. When six emitters are evenly arranged near the metal surface, the enhancement factors exhibit an asymmetric line shape at different wavelengths near the resonance wavelength of the metal nanoparticle, which converges as the number of emitters increases.

Understanding of Light Absorption Properties of the N-Doped Graphene Oxide Quantum Dot with TD-DFT

Mohammed A. Jabed et al.

Summary: The study focused on the mechanisms of oxygenous edge modification and N-doping in modulating the absorption properties of GQD materials. It was found that edge =O/-OH and doped N can both cause a red-shift in absorption spectra, and their combination can enhance the intensity of S-1 transition. Edge oxidation and N-doping-induced electronic effects are also related to the deformation of the GQD planar structure.
