Electronic nature and structure of aggregates of riboflavin molecules

Salikh Kh. Astanov et al.

Summary: The aggregation process of riboflavin molecules in binary mixtures (water-dioxane, water-DMSO, and ethanol-isobutanol) was investigated using spectroscopic methods and quantum-chemical calculation. It was found that a deformation of the electronic absorption spectra with a hypochromic effect occurs at different ratios of binary mixtures, due to the formation of hydrogen bond and dipole-dipole interaction between riboflavin molecules.

Summary: Understanding how deprotonation affects the photophysics of UV filters is crucial for characterizing their behavior in alkaline environments. By using anion photodissociation spectroscopy, we can reveal the characteristics of photofragmentation and understand the pathways of decomposition.

Measurement of the Population of Electrosprayed Deprotomers of Coumaric Acids Using UV-Vis Laser Photodissociation Spectroscopy

Natalie G. K. Wong et al.

Summary: The study successfully identified the deprotomers of three coumaric acids through UV-vis laser photodissociation spectroscopy during electrospray. The results showed that the choice of electrospray solvent has varying effects on the ratios of deprotomers for different coumaric acids.
