Simultaneous Determination of Paracetamol, Propyphenazone and Caffeine in Presence of Paracetamol Impurities Using Dual-Mode Gradient HPLC and TLC Densitometry Methods

Hany Ibrahim et al.

Summary: Two chromatographic methods, dual-mode gradient high-performance liquid chromatography and thin-layer chromatography densitometry, were developed and validated for the determination of paracetamol (PC), propyphenazone (PZ), and caffeine (CF) in a drug combination. These methods provided good separation within a relatively short analysis time and were validated according to ICH guidelines.

A rapid and sensitive stability-indicating green RP-HPTLC method for the quantitation of flibanserin compared to green NP-HPTLC method: Validation studies and greenness assessment

Ahmed I. Foudah et al.

Summary: A rapid and sensitive stability-indicating green reversed-phase high-performance thin-layer chromatography (SIG-RP-HPTLC) method was established and validated for the detection of flibanserin (FBN) in commercial products, showing superiority over the stability-indicating green normal-phase high-performance thin-layer chromatography (SI-G-NP-HPTLC) method. The greenness of both methods was evaluated using AGREE software, with eco-scale values suggesting excellent greenness for both techniques.

Diagnosis of Agglomeration and Crystallinity of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients in Over the Counter Headache Medication by Electrospray Laser Desorption Ionization Mass Spectrometry Imaging

Mariann Inga Van Meter et al.

Summary: This study demonstrated that agglomeration of active pharmaceutical ingredients in over-the-counter tablets can be effectively detected using Electrospray laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry imaging (ELDI-MSI). Different brands of headache medications showed varying degrees of agglomeration, with Brand A having virtually no agglomeration, Brand B showing extensive clustering of aspirin and caffeine, and Brand C also demonstrating clustering of aspirin and caffeine, but to a lesser extent.

Quantitative analysis of cabozantinib in pharmaceutical dosage forms using green RP-HPTLC and green NP-HPTLC methods: A comparative evaluation

Prawez Alam et al.

Summary: The novel antitumor drug cabozantinib was evaluated using validated green RP-HPTLC and NP-HPTLC techniques in marketed tablets and capsules. The RP-HPTLC demonstrated higher sensitivity for quantification of CZN compared to NP-HPTLC, making it a more suitable technique for analyzing pharmaceutical dosage forms containing CZN.
