Synthesis and Photophysical Properties of Emissive Silver(I) Halogenido Coordination Polymers Composed of {Ag2X2} Units Bridged by Pyrazine, Methylpyrazine, and Aminopyrazine

Summary: Silver(I) coordination polymers with luminescent properties were prepared using different bridging ligands, showing strong luminescence in the solid state at room temperature. The photophysical measurements revealed differences in the excited state properties of the complexes with different ligands. Additionally, the energy of the excited state of the silver halogenido complex was found to be significantly higher than that of the corresponding copper complex.

Structural Landscape of Zn(II) and Cd(II) Coordination Compounds with Two Isomeric Triimidazole Luminophores: Impact of Crystal Packing Patterns on Emission Properties

Summary: Various Zn(II) and Cd(II) coordination compounds with different metal/luminophore/anion/water ratios were synthesized in solvothermal conditions. The coordination compounds with L-1 and L-2 as inner-sphere ligands were structurally characterized, including inclusion compounds, supramolecular isomers, isomorphs, polymorphs, and one-dimensional coordination polymers. The crystal structures showed finite and infinite stacking motifs of the luminophore molecules, leading to an emissive response under UV-vis lamp irradiation.

Pressure-induced phosphorescence enhancement and piezochromism of a carbazole-based cyclic trinuclear Cu(i) complex

Summary: This study demonstrates the design of a new piezochromic material by synthesizing a Cu(3)Pz(3) cyclic trinuclear complex. The complex exhibits an abnormal pressure-induced phosphorescence enhancement in one crystalline polymorph, while good piezochromism is observed in another polymorph with infinite pi-pi stacking of carbazole motifs.
