Coordination complexes of di(2-pyridyl)ketone with copper(I) and their formation in solution and under solvent-free conditions

Summary: Four copper(I) complexes of the ligand di(2-pyridyl)ketone were synthesized using different Cu(I) salts in solution and under solvent-free conditions. The solid compounds exhibited distinct structural features, such as binuclear structures, bridging configurations, and one-dimensional chains formed by the cyanide cations. Characterization was done using various techniques, including IR spectroscopy, MS, single crystal X-ray diffraction, and Hirshfeld analysis.

Copper iodide organic-inorganic hybrid chelating clusters as luminescent coating materials

The stability of these compounds was enhanced by forming a five-member ring between the inorganic motif and coordinating atoms from organic ligands. Luminescent Behavior Elucidation of a Disilane-Bridged D-A-D Triad Composed of Phenothiazine and Thienopyrazine

Summary: A sigma-pi extended aryldisilane with a thienopyrazine acceptor fragment and phenothiazine donor moiety was synthesized using Si-Si bridges, showing dual emission and fluorescence properties. Factors contributing to reversible fluorescence under external stimuli include packing mode, phenothiazine conformation variation, and morphological changes between crystalline and amorphous phases. Theoretical study revealed distinct conformational groups with slight energy differences, with the crystalline state promoting HOMO-LUMO separation. The proposed strategy offers guidance for developing stimuli-responsive materials with controlled excited states.
