Summary: The study showed that alkaline hydrolysis is the most efficient method for releasing bound phenolics from dragon fruit peel, and extracts with the highest phenolic content exhibit the strongest antioxidant activities. The ecological type of dragon fruit is related to the content of major characteristic bound phenolic compounds.
