Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Curcumin-Loaded Solid Lipid Nanoparticles in the Management of Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetes Mellitus: Application of Central Composite Design

Jai Bharti Sharma et al.

Summary: The study focused on using solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) to improve the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of curcumin in the management of diabetes mellitus. Through experiments and analysis, an optimized batch with desired particle size and entrapment efficiency was determined. The optimized SLN showed enhanced bioavailability and antidiabetic activity compared to the plain drug suspension.
