A Wear Particle Sensor Using Multiple Inductive Coils Under a Toroidal Magnetic Field

Yin Bai et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a wear particle sensor based on multiple inductive coils under a toroidal magnetic field, which shows advantages in wear particle detection accuracy and flow rate. The proportional relationship between the signal and the wear particle velocity, as well as the excitation current, is discussed. Furthermore, the crosstalk phenomenon among different inductive coils is investigated.
