By adjusting the reaction temperature and annealing temperature, a facile solvothermal reaction scheme was designed to produce CGS2 nanoparticles with chalcopyrite structure. Characterization of the nanoparticles was performed using various techniques, indicating potential applications in the preparation of other ternary or quaternary chalcogenides. Further research is needed to fully explore the capabilities of this method.
CuGaS2 (CGS2) chalcopyrite semiconductor has the potential to be widely used in many fields. In order to further optimize the solvent thermal preparation technology and explore the reaction mechanism of CGS2, by adjusting the reaction temperature and annealing temperature, we have designed a facile and short period preparation scheme of solvothermal reaction for 30 min followed by annealling for 30 min. Finally, CGS2 nanoparticles with chalcopyrite structure were obtained. XRD, FESEM, EDAX, XPS, Raman spectra, and UV-Vis-NIR absorption spectra have been characterized. Although further research is needed, we believe that this method has potential applications in the preparation of other ternary or quaternary chalcogenides.
