Investigation of Scale Inhibition Mechanism by Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance

Yuan Lu et al.

Summary: This study applied EQCM to evaluate the inhibition efficiency of four scale inhibitors, showing remarkable performance for all inhibitors. The addition of scale inhibitor during scaling process displayed better inhibition effect, and the inhibition mechanism of the inhibitors were different, as revealed by accelerating scaling experiments, SEM and XRD.
