A Resol-Assisted Cationic Coordinative Co-assembly Approach to Mesoporous ABO3 Perovskite Oxides with Rich Oxygen Vacancy for Enhanced Hydrogenation of Furfural to Furfuryl Alcohol

Yuenan Zheng et al.

Summary: Obtaining ABO(3) perovskite oxides with favorable crystal phase and well-defined porous structure is challenging. A new approach to construct mesoporous ABO(3) perovskite oxides with functionalized nanocrystal frameworks and abundant oxygen vacancy sites has been designed, showing remarkable catalytic activity and stability. Density functional theory calculation elucidated the catalytic mechanism of LaMnO3 catalyst.

Formation, Structure, and Mechanical Performance of Silk Nanofibrils Produced by Heat-Induced Self-Assembly

Yuelong Xiao et al.

Summary: The study reveals that silk fibroin is rod-like rather than micellar during heat-induced self-assembly. The formation of silk nanofibrils occurs through nucleation-dependent aggregation, with a variable and irregular assembly period. Furthermore, the long-term assembly of silk fibroin mainly involves an elongation growth process.

Nanoarchitectured Porous Conducting Polymers: From Controlled Synthesis to Advanced Applications

Hao Luo et al.

Summary: Conductive polymers (CPs) combine the characteristics of traditional polymers and the unique electrical properties of metals. Porous CPs with well-defined nano- or microstructures have open porous architectures, high specific surface areas, more exposed reactive sites, and enhanced activities, leading to applications in sensors, energy storage devices, biomedical devices, etc. The synthesis strategies, morphology tuning, and applications of porous CPs are discussed in this review, highlighting the importance of optimizing their functional performance.
