A tunable amphiphilic Enteromorpha-modified graphene aerogel for oil/water separation

Summary: In this study, a compressive, ultra-light, and amphiphilic adsorbent was prepared by introducing renewable Enteromorpha into graphene aerogel for oil spill cleanup and water pollution remediation. The Enteromorpha-modified graphene aerogel exhibited excellent adsorption capacity towards oil and organic solvents, with stable performance even after multiple cycles of use. The facile strategy of fabricating the Enteromorpha-based amphiphilic EGA broadened its applications in water treatment.
