Double-quantitative distance measurement and classification learning based on the tri-level granular structure of neighborhood system

Xianyong Zhang et al.

Summary: This study explores the tri-level granular structure of neighborhood system and introduces the double-quantification technology for distance measurement and classification learning. The new double-quantitative classifier KNGD outperforms existing classifiers in data experiments, showing its effectiveness in knowledge measurement and classification learning.

On the aggregation of compositional data

Raul Perez-Fernandez et al.

Summary: Compositional data naturally appear in many fields of application. In this paper, a more general betweenness-based aggregation framework is considered for defining an aggregation function for compositional data. The weighted centroid is proven to fit within this definition and has a tangible interpretation. Other functions for the aggregation of compositional data are presented and their fit within the proposed definition is discussed.

Incremental fuzzy probability decision-theoretic approaches to dynamic three-way approximations

Xin Yang et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the integration of dynamics and fuzziness in the context of three-way approximations in the fuzzy probability space. By analyzing fuzzy conditional probability functions and designing incremental algorithms, a dynamic three-way approximation model based on the principle of least cost is proposed.

Three-way decision on information tables

Xiaonan Li et al.

Summary: This paper generalizes the model of three-way decision from 0-1 tables to general information tables, with the assignment of values to the set of objects and the construction of tri-partitions. The fundamental result identifies finitely many pairs of thresholds and describes the variation of the positive region based on thresholds. The evaluation of these finite tri-partitions by weighted entropy allows for obtaining an optimal tri-partition.

Multi-source information fusion based on rough set theory: A review

Pengfei Zhang et al.

Summary: Multi-Source Information Fusion (MSIF) is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary subject that faces new challenges in dealing with multi-source data. Rough set theory provides a computing paradigm for uncertain data modeling and reasoning. Researchers need to better clarify the approaches and application of MSIF in the RST research community.

A Sequential Three-Way Decision Model With Intuitionistic Fuzzy Numbers

Qinghua Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a three-way decision model for handling cost parameters and attribute values in an intuitionistic fuzzy environment. New models with IFNs are constructed based on membership and nonmembership degrees, with optimistic and pessimistic decisions made according to risk preferences. A sequential strategy is applied to address attribute increments in practical problems, and the efficiency of sequential 3WDMs is validated through numerical examples and experiments.

Class-specific information measures and attribute reducts for hierarchy and systematicness

Xianyong Zhang et al.

Summary: The attribute reduction of rough set theory has two hierarchical types and perspectives from algebra and information theory, resulting in four combined modes. Informational class-specific reducts are fundamental but lacking, and the corresponding class-specific information measures are proposed to deepen understanding and perfect attribute reduction.
