Summary: This paper investigates the application of performance-based wind engineering methodology to assess the risk of critical telecommunication infrastructure subjected to wind hazard, focusing on estimating annual losses to typical lattice frame steel telecommunication towers along the Croatian coastline. A set of Monte Carlo analyses were used to propagate uncertainties in wind hazards and structural parameters to structural response, providing a basis for estimating probabilities of exceeding serviceability and ultimate limit states. The resulting risk estimates offer valuable information for stakeholders and decision makers to develop improved strategies for managing risks from wind hazards.
